Kate Corris

Kate is a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Law Society Probate Section.

She has over 16 years’ experience as a dedicated private client solicitor and specialises in the following areas of work:

  • Drafting Wills and Codicils to include trusts, tax planning advice and foreign elements
  • Lifetime tax planning and estate preservation
  • Administration of Estates of all sizes to include obtaining Grants of Probate/Letters of Administration and preparing Inland Revenue Accounts
  • Preparing deeds of variation
  • Administration of trusts
  • Advising in relation to contested estates
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney relating to both Financial Affairs and Health and Welfare
  • Court of Protection/Public Guardianship Office applications to include registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney
  • Assisting clients with the day-to-day management and administration of their affairs
  • Residential property and conveyancing transactions arising from the above

Much of the above work can be carried out over the telephone or by Email although Kate is happy to arrange home visits in order to take instructions and provide advice.

After graduating from the University of Liverpool and the College of Law, London, Kate trained as a solicitor with Blandy & Blandy in Reading, qualifying in 1991. Since qualifying she has practised as a specialist private client solicitor initially in Farnborough, Hampshire then Henley-on-Thames followed by Camberley, Surrey before returning to Henley-on-Thames in January 2007 to join Cooper Solicitors.
